Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 October 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy sets out what information Matus collects, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Matus ("we", "us", "our") provides a customer relationship and sales platform for businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us and information created when you use our website and platform, including:

  • Contact and account details, such as your name, business name, email address and phone number.
  • Billing details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Information about how you use our website and platform, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and IP address.
  • Messages you send us, including through our support assistant.

3. Information you store in your account

When you use Matus, you add information about your own customers and leads, such as their contact details, messages and appointments. You decide what is collected and how it is used, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and to contact those people. We handle that information on your behalf, only to provide the platform to you.

4. How we use information

  • To create and run your account and provide the platform.
  • To take payments and manage your subscription.
  • To give you support and answer your questions.
  • To send you service messages, and marketing where you have agreed to it. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
  • To keep the platform secure, prevent misuse and improve how it works.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform, such as hosting, messaging, payment and AI providers, and where the law requires it. Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.

6. AI features

Our support assistant and AI agents use third-party AI services to generate replies. The content of those conversations is sent to these services so they can respond. Please avoid including sensitive information that isn't needed.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar storage to keep it working and to remember your preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Keeping information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as you have an account and for as long afterwards as we need it for legal, tax and accounting purposes. After that we delete or de-identify it.

10. Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing admin@earngmedia.com. If your details are held in a Matus customer's account, please contact that business directly.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, email admin@earngmedia.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
